Veenai
As an Indian classical stringed instrument, the Veena is reputed for its beautiful and resonant sounds. It has a big hollow wooden body with strings that run over a neck and resonator. The Veena is primarily used in Carnatic music for the creation of intricate ragas (melodic frameworks) and giving it emotional depth by using particularly sensitive playing techniques. For Hindu devotional music and classical concerts, this instrument is dual-purpose because it can be performed solo or in accompaniment.
